My story begins when I was 17 years old. I am now 28, and I see God's Providence all around me as I look back on my journey. As a junior in high school, I was caught up in my social life, making decisions about college and trying to maintain a Christian walk... I failed miserably. I perhaps only failed in my Christian walk, but everything else was pretty much how I wanted it. Good grades, countless friends, accepted into my first choice of college (University of Oklahoma... BOOMER!). But, something was missing, and I knew it.It was fall of 2005, my parents were looking to join a new church. My father, Paul, new a woman at his job who was a member of Real Church- a brand new, small church that was held in a library room. My first visit, I knew I had found something incredible- something that I used to know very well, but through division and choices, got separated from. People were actually excited and passionate about Jesus! What?! Shouting, clapping hands, boldly speaking the Word... what was it that made this little church so powerful?
Long story short, my parents and I (because I had no choice...thank goodness) joined Real Church. I began to restore my relationship with God and old patterns and sin began to strip off with every forward step I took. Shortly after we joined, we moved to a building in downtown Tulsa (this was after a few other locations). It was at this location where my future husband, Michael, would show up. Mind you, I am 17 or 18 years old, so this was a stepping stone! I was on the worship team playing bass guitar (still am after 11 years!) and Michael noticed me while I was on stage. Then, that journey began.
Some of you might be saying- what does this have to do with oils? I promise, it all comes together.
We have been married over 4 years, and from the time of us joining Real Church to now, we have held many responsibilities and have become Deacons to be trained for more. The Vision of Real Church is to plant 400 churches and raise up 1600 ministers. Within that vision are many programs, outreaches, education opportunities... you name it, we probably do it... with a small group of people too! Here is a list of some things we do:
- Liberty Mill- producing organic flour to help people begin healthy eating habits
- True Foundations- a homeschool using the Noah Plan, based on the Principle Approach
- Tulsa Homeschool Choir and Art- Various choir and art classes for homeschool students
- The Final Word- television
- Capitals Tour- Apostle Scott Lovett and Prophet John Holler have been traveling to every United States capital, delivering letters to our leaders and praying that God will transform the hearts of men in our government
We also have future goals, like owning farmland and a ministry home to train others in need on how to take care of themselves. Real Church's vision is to bring God back into our lives, homes, and nation.
Being involved with the Vision has made me more aware of how I need to treat my temple- my body. I am a willing vessel to be used by God, and I am convicted to take care of what the Lord has given me. I want to eat right, raise my 3 children in a healthy home, and get away from all the fake food and medicine that ruins your body physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Young Living was a way for me not to only begin essential oils for myself, but to make it a business so I can help grow this Vision. I believe I am using the very creation of God to take care of my health and I want to share that with every person with whom I come in contact! My husband and I have goals to pay off debt and make an income to pour in finances to something we firmly believe. Would you help me meet these goals? As you can see, my purpose for working hard is to move the Kingdom of God forward. I am not doing this for self gain- life has much more purpose than self. I desire to help people become better, to be a light in the dark, to make an impact!
